touch is the full gospel: the virgin word of each new teaching; the first witness to every new science; the space into which we each together breathe. touch is the new testament, touch is the blank page, touch is the fresh story, touch is the door ajar: touch is the full gospel. touch writes the book of our becoming: the purpose in a kiss- the terror of skin- the taste of breath- the shock of grace- touch is what we do.

I imagine a time-released art. One in which some immediate effect is discernible, but the interaction with the work continues on, quietly, unconsciously, for an extended period. An art in which the process is as important as the content, seen as equal elements in the same equation, both in writing (for the reader) and in theatre (for the cast and the audience). Stories may have been exhausted but experience has not; nor has the specific and uniquely personal juxtaposition of event. 'Art is a dangerous operation we perform on ourselves.' -Morton Feldman
